Business students from Southwark College were announced as the Grand Champions in the annual Big Idea Challenge final, one of the biggest entrepreneurial competitions for young people in London.

Southwark College hosted a Student Conference centred around the theme of respect. The event organised by the Student Parliament welcomed special guests to a panel discussion, including Southwark Mayor, Councillor Barrie Hargrove, NUS FE (Further Education) Vice President Salsabil Elmegri, Student Governor Cheffon White-Mcleod and Head of Sales FE at Native, Tony Payne, who shared their views on whether respect should be earned or given.

Maths students represented Southwark College in the Further Education (FE) Maths Challenge London final organised by Mathematics Education Innovation (MEI). The group of students competed against colleges from across the capital, winning first place in the Go Forth category.
