NextGen Event

Southwark College students were among the talented graduates taking centre stage at this year’s NextGen Graduate Showcase 2025, held in the historic Crypt on the Green venue.

With over 120 students from 11 colleges across England taking part, this was the biggest showcase to date, celebrating the hard work, creativity and dedication of learners completing a NextGen programme.

The showcase quickly filled with an energetic crowd of students, educators, and industry professionals, creating a vibrant and inspirational atmosphere that lasted all day. Southwark College learners impressed visitors with the quality of their final projects, confidently sharing their work and ideas with experts from the creative industries.

Throughout the day, meaningful conversations and networking took place across the venue. Students had the chance to discuss their ambitions and receive valuable feedback, while making connections that could help launch their careers in games, animation, and VFX.

Jon Fell, the Head of Faculty for Creative Arts at Southwark College, said: “We are incredibly proud of our learners’ achievements and their professionalism in showcasing their work. It’s wonderful to see their skills recognised by industry and to watch them step confidently into the next stage of their journey.”

Southwark College extends a huge congratulations to all of our students who took part in the event and thank you to NextGen Skills Academy for making the showcase possible.
