Southwark College’s Level 2 and Level 3 Dance students recently took to the stage at Thrive Youth Dance Platform, a renowned festival hosted at Middlesex University.

The inspiring event celebrates outstanding young dance talent from across London, Brighton, and Milton Keynes and offers students an invaluable opportunity to showcase their creativity, passion, and professionalism in a vibrant, supportive environment.

Throughout the day, the students participated in a series of workshops, technical rehearsals, and dress runs before delivering a dynamic performance that captured the energy and unity of the group. Their participation demonstrated not only their developing technical skill but also their ability to adapt and thrive in a professional setting alongside peers from a range of dance organisations and colleges.

The feedback they received was overwhelmingly positive. Organisers, audience members, and fellow performers commended the students for their expressive stage presence, commitment, and the evident sense of togetherness within the group.

Participating in the Thrive Youth Dance Platform marks a significant milestone for the group. The day not only broadened their horizons but also inspired them to continue pursuing their ambitions in dance with confidence and enthusiasm.

This achievement reinforces Southwark College’s dedication to providing enriching experiences that prepare students for future success in the Performing Arts.
