Southwark College hosted its first Student Parliament meeting of the academic year, uniting course representatives, Students’ Union officers, members of the Senior Leadership Team, and College Governors.
The session provided an important platform for students to share their views, discuss their experiences, and collaborate on ideas to improve College life. Topics included enhancing student engagement, strengthening wellbeing initiatives, and shaping future enrichment opportunities.
Through open discussion, the Student Parliament reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that students’ voices are heard and play a key role in shaping decision-making at the Southwark College.
These meetings empower students to shape College priorities, get involved in national campaigns with the National Union of Students (NUS), and work alongside other colleges and local MPs to drive positive change in the community.
Students interested in learning more or getting involved are encouraged to contact the Student Experience team to connect with their Students’ Union representatives and discover upcoming projects.
Southwark College offers a wide range of enrichment activities, wellbeing initiatives, and support services to help students make the most of their time at college. To find out more, visit southwark.ac.uk/student-services.
