College is more than studying, it’s getting involved in the topics that matter. Southwark College students organised an event as part of their Business course to raise awareness on Knife Crime in London.
On the day, students and staff from Southwark College poured into the atrium at lunchtime to hear talks from youth groups and local police. Guest speakers shared their thoughts, and showed videos and statistics surrounding Knife Crime. They spoke about how damaging Knife Crime can be to people's lives and how important it is to be made aware of such a topic.
Students also had the chance to ask questions, get involved in the discussions, and leave their own personal messages on a remembrance tree in the atrium.
