Students at Southwark College participated on Loud Speaker’s Yellow Brick Road workshops designed to help students build confidence, enhance communication, and develop practical life skills to prepare for future opportunities.

Throughout the sessions, students engaged in interactive activities that encouraged self-reflection, teamwork, and creative problem-solving. The workshops emphasised the importance of resilience, adaptability, and self-belief, helping students recognise their strengths and understand how to apply them in real-life situations.

Students from a variety of courses described the workshops as inspiring, engaging, and highly valuable. Many said the activities encouraged them to step outside their comfort zones and gave them strategies to approach their future goals with confidence.

By hosting Loud Speaker https://www.loudspeaker.org.uk/, Southwark College continues to support students beyond the classroom, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to succeed in further education, employment, and everyday life. Sponsored by City & Guilds and linked directly to the NCG Guarantee, the workshops demonstrate the College’s commitment to preparing students for the challenges and opportunities ahead, helping them gain the skills and confidence to thrive in their chosen paths.
