Southwark College was pleased to host its latest Digital Conference as part of the NCG Guarantee, celebrating innovation, collaboration and the development of future-ready skills.

The event brought together students, colleagues and employer partners for a dynamic programme focused on the evolving digital landscape. Through engaging talks and interactive demonstrations, learners explored emerging technologies including generative AI and virtual reality, gaining insight into how these tools are shaping industries and creating new career opportunities.

A highlight of the conference was the opportunity for learners to showcase their own digital work. From creative projects to technical solutions, the event demonstrated the breadth of talent across the College and reflected the confidence and ambition of our learner community.

The Digital Conference also reinforced the importance of digital skills across all curriculum areas. As technology continues to transform the workplace, developing digital confidence, adaptability and problem-solving skills is essential. Events such as this ensure students are not only gaining qualifications, but also building the wider capabilities needed to progress successfully into employment, apprenticeships or further study.

The NCG Guarantee supports student development across five key strands: Digital, Employability, Community, Mental Fitness and Enterprise. By engaging in these experiences, learners enhance their CVs, broaden their networks and strengthen the skills that matter most for their future.

Southwark College remains committed to creating opportunities that inspire excellence, raise aspirations and prepare learners for success in a rapidly changing world.
