News

Southwark College, along with our colleagues across NCG, are saddened and deeply troubled by the ongoing invasion of Ukraine, and we stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and support their right to peace, freedom and sovereignty. Our thoughts are with all those affected by the conflict, both the brave Ukrainian citizens seeking shelter and safety, and the Russian citizens taking a stand against the actions of their government.

We understand that the events are deeply distressing to our diverse community of colleagues and learners, particularly any Ukrainian and Russian colleagues and learners across our Group, and we are committed to supporting anyone affected by this crisis.

Southwark College has reached out to colleagues and students to offer support to anyone affected by this crisis and, as a pillar of our community, our college is working closely with charities and initiatives local to us to help raise awareness and provide vital practical support where it is needed.
