Southwark College welcomed Loud Speaker to deliver motivational workshops to help students prepare for their future and believe in the power they hold to become successful individuals.

Motivational Speakers, Aaron Roach Bridgeman and Rich Rudolph delivered the workshops, designed to help young people build on life-skills, such as public speaking, confidence, and resilience in preparation for their next steps into higher education and employment.

Aaron Roach Bridgeman, motivational speaker from Loud Speaker said: “The energy in the College has been electric. The students have approached the workshop with enthusiasm, and it has been great to come into an academic environment. Southwark College is a bright and hopeful environment and I have enjoyed interacting with students across Health and Social Care, Business, Drama, Supported Learning and ESOL.

“I would like to encourage all students to practice open mindedness and find their passion and purpose in life, and make it pay their pocket. This way, no day will ever feel like work, sometimes our passion can be right in front of our noses, we just need to take a closer look.”

Joseph Glaied, a T Level in Digital Production Design and Development student, said: “I was quite apprehensive before coming into today’s session; however, I really enjoyed it and was very surprised. I feel like the speaker, has instilled principles in me, especially in terms of my mentality. As I’m getting older, I question if I’m taking the right path and after participating in the workshop, I can trust myself more and feel more empowered.”

Scott Peasey, Vice Principal at Southwark College, said: “We are delighted to have welcomed Loud Speaker join us at Southwark College, to deliver inspiring workshops to our students. The workshops provided our students with an enriching experience, motivating them to share their stories and we are grateful to our hosts Rich and Aaron for joining us and making this possible.

“At Southwark College, we are dedicated to our students' personal growth and encourage the development of essential life skills. These workshops greatly benefit our students, encouraging them to believe their voices are one of their greatest qualities.”

Loud Speaker delivers sessions and workshops to support young people in gaining confidence and getting the tools they need to make the most of every opportunity that comes their way. Set up in 2019, Loud Speaker has supported over 100,000 young people to realise their ambitions and speak their way to success, helping them to identify their goals and interests.
