Southwark College’s Skills for Progression programme hosted a festive Enterprise Christmas Auction, giving students the opportunity to showcase their talents and sell handmade products. Prizes included exclusive excursions, karaoke tickets, and beautifully wrapped hand–made hampers.

The event provided students with a real-world setting to develop communication, teamwork, and enterprise skills, while also making a meaningful contribution to the community. As part of their NCG Guarantee Enterprise and Community activities, the Skills for Progression students raised an impressive £212 for Robes Winter Shelter, a local charity supporting people experiencing homelessness in Southwark and Lambeth.

With a lively and welcoming atmosphere, the auction celebrated student achievement and highlighted the positive impact of education beyond the classroom. Events like the Enterprise Christmas Auction demonstrate how supported learning programmes at Southwark College equip students with practical experience, encourage community engagement, and prepare them for progression into further learning, employment, or independent living.
