We have a quick and simple online application process which just requires you to upload your CV and supporting statement, once you have completed your personal details and the equal opportunities monitoring form.
Each online advert includes a link to an information pack which includes further information about the College you have applied to, along with the job profile and person specification for the role. The job profile sets out the duties and responsibilities of the job advertised, while the person specification sets out the essential and desirable skills, abilities and knowledge required to do the job.
In your supporting statement you are required to demonstrate how you meet the requirements of the job. It should contain specific examples from your previous work history that illustrate how you meet the requirements, and can also include examples of the skills, abilities and knowledge you have acquired outside traditional employment, such as through voluntary work. The supporting statement should be clearly set out, using sub-headings.
Eligibility to work in the UK
We will follow up on your eligibility to work in the UK and will not be able to progress an appointment if there is a false declaration of eligibility.
If you are successfully appointed to the role, you will be required to give the details of two referees from your present and/or most recent employment, or if you have worked in a voluntary capacity, from your manager in that organisation. Requests for references are processed only after the successful candidate has accepted the job offer.
Disclosure of criminal convictions
All appointments are subject to an enhanced criminal record check with the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. You therefore need to tell us about any criminal conviction you may have, even if this is now considered as spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Further information on how to declare this will be available during the online application process.
