Southwark College recently welcomed attendees to the Elephant and Castle Careers Fair in partnership with the Get Living team. The event brought together a diverse range of employers, educators, and community organisations to showcase career and training opportunities across London.
Held on our campus on The Cut, the fair featured panel discussions and exhibitor stands representing various sectors, including healthcare, public services, construction, education, and the charity sector. Participants included the Army, RAF, Au Pair in America, Planning Consultants, Bridge of Hope, Street League, Phoenix Me, Business By Design, London South Bank University and many more.
The event built on the success of previous years and aimed to inspire the next generation of professionals by connecting them with real-world opportunities. Students and the local community had the chance to network, ask questions, and explore routes into employment, apprenticeships, and further education.
Maria Micros represented The Business By Design Academy by the Kurt Geiger Kindness Foundation at the careers fair. They said: "We’re excited to be here today at this wonderful event to reach out to more future professionals who would like to enter the creative industry, and we would love to continue talking about this opportunity. It's also great to see all the young people and all the employers engaged and excited to meet each other and discuss future opportunities."
The Elephant and Castle Careers Fair reaffirmed Southwark College’s role as a hub for opportunity, learning, and community connection — and highlighted the power of partnership in shaping brighter futures.
