Indeya Ramgoolam, 20, from Brockley (and a mother of one) enrolled on the Access to Teaching course at Southwark College last September. She applied herself to the course and managed to achieve a raft of distinctions, meaning that she has achieved the best results possible in her qualification.

Her results will make the choice of university for further study in teaching much easier for her.

Jane Eley, her lecturer said: "Indeya impressed us with her hard work and diligence from the word go - she has achieved distinctions in every unit where the higher grades were available. She richly deserves recognition for this excellent result."
