Are you caring compassionate and want to work with children and young people? A career in Health could be for you contributing to safe patient care in every area of the healthcare sector. As a student on the T-Level in Supporting the care of Children and Young People you will build your knowledge in areas including principles of person-centred care supporting health and well-being and good scientific and clinical practice alongside study of human anatomy physiology and diseases and disorders. Learning in our high quality facilities with our experienced teachers you will complete the course with the scientific knowledge and practical experience to work in a range of roles in the health industry including in ambulance care emergency care and health care. . You will also undertake an employer industry placement for a minimum of 45 days throughout your course allowing you to gain hands-on experience and put what you've learned into practice.

Entry Requirements
You will need 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or better including English maths and Science. You may also be required to undertake an assessment to ensure your suitability ahead of enrolment. You are required to successfully secure a DBS certificate (enabling you to work with young people) for which the college will pay the fee.
Assessment Method
You will be assessed via written examinations practical assessments synoptic assessments employer set projects professional discussion and an assessment of progress during work placements.

Progression Opportunities
Upon successful completion of the course you may progress to higher education to study in a health related or other field. Apprenticeships at advanced and higher level in the health sector are open to you as is employment in the health sector.
