The OCNLR Entry Level Award in Essential Digital Skills for Everyday Life (Entry 3) is a qualification that has been developed in accordance with the DfE National Standards for Essential Digital Skills. It covers five skills areas: using devices and handling information, creating, and editing, communicating, transacting, and being safe and responsible online. The qualification is designed to enable learners with limited digital skills to develop confidence and motivation to safely access and use community and wider services, and opportunities presented online and digitally.

Entry Requirements
This course is for 19+ learners. You will need to have achieved English and Maths at Entry Level 2 or equivalent to join the course.
Assessment Method
Assessment is based on activities set by the tutor and is structured to allow achievement in bite-size blocks. Assessment can include case studies, practical tasks and demonstrations, question/answer, tests/exams, and tutor observation.
Aims of the course
This course covers 12 learning outcomes and is designed to give you a broad understanding and knowledge of Information Technology and essential digital skills. You will understand how to stay safe online, use devices, buy securely online, share information, and create documents.
Progression Opportunities
Upon completing this course, you can progress to a Level 1 Award in Essential Digital Skills. You can also apply for courses in areas related to Digital Technologies and Computer Science, which may include Level 2 IT, Cybersecurity and a wide range of other related IT courses.

This course will take place at Southwark Group of Tenants Organisations, Bells Gardens Community Centre, 19 Buller Close, London, SE15 6UJ
The centre has 10 computers and learning space; however, learners can use Southwark College facilities where we have a wide range of computer rooms and labs where you will learn a range of skills. You will also have access to breakout areas for independent learning.
