Supported Learning

We offer Supported Learning courses to support people with Educational Health Care Plans and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to gain more independence, improve knowledge and get the guidance and encouragement they need to successfully move into work.

Southwark College currently offers two course routes, the Into Work Programme and the Supported Pathways into the Creative Industries. Both routes are for those who are able to travel independently or who are able to work towards independent travel. All students will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop life, independence and communication skills and improve their confidence
  • Gain work experience both in and out of College to develop employability skills and experience of working with an employer
  • Improve their English and Maths skills

The next Supported Learning courses start in September 2020:
