What stands between you and an interesting job? Whether it’s the right initial qualifications, workplace skills or simply confidence, our free short courses for job seekers are designed to remove these barriers and get you into work.

We offer a wide range of Job Centre Plus (JCP) courses in essential skills like money and finance, IT, customer service, and English and maths, as well as qualifications that will help you access jobs in specific sectors such as construction and adult care.

To get on to a course, you’ll just need to be referred by your local Job Centre or one of our partners supporting unemployed people such as Southwark Works, Thames Reach, Prospects or Peabody.

What you’ll gain:

  • A qualification that tells employers you’re ready for work
  • A better knowledge of your chosen sector
  • Vital workplace skills
  • Increased confidence and motivation
  • The chance to build your CV, job search and interview skills
  • Support with progressing into employment or further training – we work closely with employers to help you find a job, and some courses guarantee you an interview

Eligibility

To be eligible for one of our free JCP courses you need to be 19+, able to commit to the times and duration of your chosen course, and on one of these benefits:

  • Job Seekers Allowance (JSA)
