This is a practical hands on course that will introduce the functions of the AutoCAD. You will become familiar with the user interface, setting up and file management, drawing lines and other objects, editing, drawing aids, layers, text and dimensioning.

    Entry Requirements

    This is a beginner's course in Auto CAD, you should have an interest in the area but no previous experience is needed.

    Assessment Method

    You will received tutorials and will be assessed by the tutor.

    Aims of the course

    The course is designed to introduce you to the skills and techniques needed to confidently produce professional 2D drawings using AutoCAD. It will be delivered through a mixture practical exercises, tutor demonstrations and individual projects. We will provide you with opportunities that will allow you to explore and develop your skills.

    Successful completion of this course, can lead to our higher level courses.

    Facilities

    You will have access to a dedicated Mac studio. However to fully participate in the practical exercises please bring the following to your class:

    Notebook and pen
    USB memory stick (minimum 8GB) or mini-hard drive
