Testimonial

" I’ve really grown up during my time at Southwark College. It’s a different mentality coming to college rather than a school and I like it. Southwark College also encourages students to become more involved in everyday college life and this includes Student Union, Course Representative and Student Ambassador.”

Testimonial

"Southwark College put me on the straight and narrow path as soon as I joined to study. They made me realise that the college is not like school. I have learned a lot at Southwark College and I’m extremely thankful for everything they have done for me"

Financial Support | Print |  E-mail
Many learners require financial support. Learners under 19 may be eligible for an Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA) and many adult learners (19+) may qualify for a fee concession or the Adult Learning Grant (ALG). We also support learners through the Learner Support Fund (LSF).

How can I get EMA/ALG?

1. You must attend 100% of your classes;

2. You must be 100% punctual;

3. You must be well behaved and give much effort (for EMA only); and

4. Maintain a minimum of 12 learning hours per week.

You will be notified by e-mail each Wednesday regarding whether you are eligible to receive a weekly payment.
E-mails will be sent to your College e-mail address.

How can I qualify for the LSF?

Please call 0207 815 1658 to enquire after LSF.
